Kyle,

 

Today is your birthday and all of our family is thinking of you.  A new cousin is expected any day now.  She's actually due today.  I think of you a lot, and look at your adorable baby pictures.  You have touched everyones lives in ways you don't know.

Kyle was my best friend, the one person in the world I could tell anything to.  He always tried to call me twice a week from the first time we met.  We met on a motorcycle forum online and discovered a mutal love of bikes and airplanes.  I gave him my phone number that first night.  I am so glad I did.  Kyle was always telling me stories about his brothers and sisters, he thought the world of them.  He was always telling me what silly things the little ones had done and how proud he was of his dad.  I will always remember the lessons he taught me and I know he's watching over all who loved him because he loved them too.

Kyle was my first grandchild.  When he was 7 months old he lived with me for two months.  My daughters adored him, they were 5 and 7.  I remember him crawling in my empty cabinets when we were moving.  He was just a very happy baby.  I have great memories of him when he was 3 or 4 and unfortunately didn't seem him again until he was 12.  It tugged at my heart each time I thought we were going to be able to see him on a regular basis and then nothing.   I have five grandchildren 10 mo. to 7 yrs, but Kyle will always be the first.
